WEXFORD POOL RULES
Following rules and conditions exist for the use of the Wexford Pool. These are being furnished here for residents review and adherence.
- The pool is for the use of Wexford residents and guests only. Guests are allowed only when accompanied by an adult resident of Wexford. Guest limitation - 6 per household (Unless approved by Wexford board prior).
- The pool does not have a lifeguard.
- The use of the pool is at each resident’s and guest’s own risk.
- Children under the age of 14 are not allowed to use the pool without the supervision of an adult (18 or older). User is assuming all rights and liabilities by using the pool.
- No swimming alone.
- The hours are of operation are from 9AM to dusk.
- No night swimming allowed. The pool is NOT equipped with lighting, therefore, there is no swimming after pool hours.
- Everyone must shower before entering pool.
- Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the pool area or on the pool deck due to the risk of injury or drowning.
- Due to liability and privacy reasons, the self-locking gate must remain closed and locked at all times. No one should bypass this automatic closing hinge nor is the gate to be propped open at anytime.
- No glassware is allowed in the open space area, playground, parking lot, or inside the fenced pool area. Please keep all food at least 4 feet from edge of pool.
- No smoking is allowed in the pool, fenced area, or inside the clubhouse at any time.
- The pool phone is for emergency use only.
- All devices with wheels (except wheelchairs and strollers) must be left in the parking lot area. No bikes or skateboards are allowed inside the pool fence. Riding bicycles, scooters, wheelies and skateboards in the pool area is not allowed.
- Please stay out of the pool if you have any of the following: infections, skin abrasions, inflamed eyes or are being treated by a doctor for colds.
- Children 3 years old and under must wear swim diapers made for pool use. Disposable or cloth diapers are not allowed. Tight fitting diapers must be worn at all times for any non-toilet-trained children.
- Traditional swimsuits must be worn; cut-offs and street clothing are not allowed in the pool.
- Diving in the pool is not allowed. Diving into the pool can cause serious injury, paralysis, or death.
- No running, jumping or diving on the pool deck.
- Pets are not allowed inside the pool fenced area or the clubhouse.
- Loud music is not allowed in the pool area, playground, open space area or parking lot.
- Remove all trash, toys, towels, cans, lotions, etc. from pool area and parking lot before you leave.
- Any breakage or loss of Association equipment is the financial responsibility of the homeowner.
- Pool furniture must stay on the pool deck at all times and not be put in the pool. Safety equipment must not be tampered with and ropes are not to be used as toys or for hanging on. And, the life preserver is for emergency use only.
- The playground and open space areas are not supervised. User is assuming all risks and liabilities by using this area. Residents and guests use at their own risk.
- Children should not be left unattended in the pool area, open space or playground.
- All equipment such as, but not limited to playground set and picnic sets should only be used as designed. User is assuming all risks and liability by using these areas and equipment.
- Children should not jump off, or from, any piece of equipment.
- Children should not be given keys to the pool gate locks.
- The last resident using the pool should lock the gate as they leave the facility.
- One pool key per household. Additional or lost keys can be obtained at cost of $25.00 each. For replacement keys please submit a request on the Wexford Website: www.grandchestermeadows.com/wexford-home/
- Residents or guests are not allowed to copy or duplicate keys. This will be grounds for the Wexford HOA to restrict, suspend, or revoke your privileges for the Wexford pool.
- Residents are not authorized to allow guests to use the Wexford pool without an adult resident being present.
- Safety is everyone’s main concern while at the Wexford pool and there is no substitute for the use of common sense. Please help keep your pool safe and injury free.
**REMINDERS**
If there is contamination in the pool, please exit the pool immediately and notify the pool company / community management at 919-757-1718 so the pool can be shut down for cleaning.
**The pool bathhouse is intended only for the use of our residents using the pool to swim.**
